Description
Rebel Cops is a spin-off of This Is the Police, entirely dedicated to turn-based tactical operations. Lead a squad of ragtag cops in a rebellion against the criminal authorities, and see how long you can hold out when supplies are constantly running short and a single bullet can cost your fighter his life.
You’re not exactly the police, but only you now defend the law
Viktor Zuev, a brutal crime boss, took over Ripton in a matter of weeks, subjugating the local elite and even the police department. With the help of blackmail and threats, Zuev keeps the entire city in fear. The only ones who dared to resist him were a small group of former police officers who refused to serve the new government and surrendered their badges. The goal is to send Viktor Zuev to jail. The chances are slim, but the townspeople have no one else to rely on.
Shootouts are fun, but stealth is still more reliable
You are fighting a guerrilla war, the bandits have much more people and supplies. So carefully move from cover to cover, quietly catch the criminals one by one and try to handcuff them before they can raise the alarm. At your disposal is a set of non-lethal weapons and equipment, as well as special tactical perks that are unlocked as you level up your fighters. Sometimes it will be impossible to avoid shootings, but in such situations it is better to be doubly careful: neither the criminals nor the cops have health points. The wounded will quickly bleed out and die, and a hit to the head means instant death.
Explore sandbox levels and steal from thieves
In Rebel Cops there are not only compact operations where you need to fight for every centimeter of space, but also large locations open for exploration – the so-called sandbox levels. Search rooms, break into safes and vaults, penetrate inaccessible areas and try to steal as much valuables as possible from the criminals. Keep the cops together so they have each other’s backs – or take the risk of spreading them out and trying to look into every corner.
Is it possible to beat crime without becoming a criminal?
Zuev’s mercilessness is the basis of his power. Can you win without resorting to his own methods? Will you comply with the requests of desperate citizens if it could jeopardize the entire operation? Will you spare the civilian guards who are just doing their job but get in your way? Some people believe that in war all means are fair, but do not forget: reputation is more valuable than money. Disgruntled Ripton residents can easily drag your good name through the mud. Merchants will be reluctant to do business with you, and even your own fighters may turn their backs on you.
