This update fixes a few small bugs and brings all the new features from iA Writer 7: How to tell if text was written by a human… or a robot? Sometimes this is not possible. But sometimes it seems that something is wrong. Using ChatGPT, we often don’t even remember what we borrowed and what we wrote ourselves. Artificial intelligence is a great assistant. But if we mindlessly allow it to replace our own thoughts and words, we become the talking head of the machine. We need to make sure we know what we are saying. And that we say what we really mean. The new iA Writer shows you which words you typed yourself and which you copied from ChatGPT or a friend. It highlights the text you created yourself, and tracks the contributions of participants, artificial and natural, so that your voice is heard on the page. With iA Writer 7, we make sure you save it. # Attribution – Edits made by AI and other artificial tools are muted – Edits made by another person are underlined – The Paste menu detects conversations copied from ChatGPT and offers to automatically mark the authorship of your ChatGPT questions and answers – The Mark As menu allows easily indicate the authorship of the selected text – The “Paste As” menu inserts the text and at the same time marks the authorship – The “Paste As” menu edits from” automatically detects changes between selected text and pasted text, and attributes changes to the selected author – Authorship notes are saved at the end of files. These notes are hidden when editing in iA Writer and visible in other applications
