Description
South of the Circle is an emotional game with a deep, multi-layered cinematic story. She raises questions about the consequences of life choices, about the clash between career and love, about attempts to maneuver between the present and the past.
You’ll play as Peter, a Cambridge scientist who crash lands in Antarctica during the Cold War. As he seeks help, his past is gradually revealed, demonstrating how the pressure of power and his own aspirations have led the hero to a crisis that must somehow be resolved. As the romance between Peter and his colleague Clara develops, Peter realizes the cost of his promises. But some vows will stay with him forever, like childhood memories.
The game was created by State of Play studio, winners of the BAFTA award. The carefully crafted aesthetics and script highlight the cinematic scope of the game. It is only enhanced by actors from Bohemian Rhapsody (Gwilym Lee), The Woman in White (Olivia Vinall), The Crown (Richard Goulding), Game of Thrones (Anton Lesser), Chernobyl (Adrian Rawlins) and “Downton Abbey” (Michael Fox).
