Description
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, cunning and fatherhood. The player will control Octopus, an agile octopus pretending to be a human. Octopus’s life is a constant struggle in which he must cope with everyday tasks with the help of his boneless tentacles, while keeping his octopus nature a secret from his human family.
In this continuation of the original adventures of Octopapa, our cephalopod hero finds himself in yet another scrape – with the growing mistrust of his wife, he is forced to take an extremely unsuccessful trip to the local aquarium. Do you have enough paternal qualities to control the titular octopus father as he tries to hide his seafaring heritage from his family and keep his tentacles intact?
In October 2010, a team of students released the original version of Octodad into the world. Despite widespread belief that it was just a simulator of an ordinary human father, the game became a cult hit, received press coverage and was a finalist in the student category of the 2011 Independent Games Festival. Octodad attracted enough attention to prompt the team to launch a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign and form Young Horses to make the new Octodad game bigger, better, and more polished. Two and a half years after the start of development, Octodad: Dadliest Catch (translated as Octodad: Fatherly Catch”) is ready to clumsily plop into your arms.
